Both bevel edge and convex shears are done as well as thinners, blenders and chunkers. Nicks and dull edges are removed and then the edge is polished.

Ride lines are polished and set is checked and re-curved as needed. If a scissor is weak at the tip it is often an uneven ride line which has to be then honed even from the pivot to the tip. A low pivot area will cause hair to fold at the tip area.

Each scissor and shear is tested for full cut from pivot to tip. Bumpers are replaced as necessary. Scissor tension is set and most scissors the tension can be adjusted with a scissor nut or screw to suit your preference.

Large shears and sewing scissors and household scissors are done as well and their cost to sharpen varies from $8.00 to $15 for large shears.
